Company announces plans to manufacture world’s largest puzzle for sale
Cra-Z-Art®, a prime manufacturer and leader in trendy toy, art and school supply products, announced today plans to develop the World’s Largest Puzzle to be available for sale, commercially. The company will develop the puzzle with one of their brand licensing partners, Eastman Kodak Company. The puzzle will be approximately five feet by thirty feet and will include fifty thousand pieces, featuring wonderful photographs from around the world.
“Cra-Z-Art is thrilled to be partnering with Kodak to produce The World’s Largest Puzzle. It will have the same rich, sharp imagery that is representative of the iconic brand but in a fun, challenging, supersize format. Consumers will be excited, knowing that they have a one of a kind, record breaking puzzle to put together or just keep as a collector’s item ,” said Cra-Z-Art Chairman, Lawrence Rosen.
Last year, Cra-Z-Art began a strategic brand licensing agreement with Eastman Kodak Company to produce and distribute puzzles in the U.S. The puzzles feature beautiful photo imagery and are currently available in various size piece counts from 100 to 2000. In 2016, Cra-Z-Art entered the puzzle category with the strategic acquisition of Lafayette Puzzle Factory, a leading manufacturer of artfully designed puzzles in the United States. The company saw double digit sales increases in puzzle sales over the last few years. The deal also provided Cra-Z-Art exposure in a continually growing toy segment. The puzzles and games category increased by 3 percent last year per the NPD market research group.
Cra-Z-Art’s Kodak puzzles are proudly manufactured in the USA and “The World’s Largest Puzzle” is expected to be available at major retailers later this year. The company plans to have the Guinness World Records officially designate the puzzle as a record breaker.
